"Call To Arms" is the title of oil painting approx 21in x 40in Showing some of the various equipment and clothes issued by the Continental Army as ordered by General gearge Washington. The colors of red facings and cuffs represent the regiments from Virginia,Maryland, and Penn.. The worn and thready areas on the coat and bayonet thong with missing scabbard are testaments of the extreme usuage from day to day by the soldiers who had to make the best of what they had due to lack of new provisions from the Continental Army.

I have always been interested in the American Revolutionary War and the great odds faced by the men and women who gave of themselves to forge this great nation. I work along with others to recreate what it was like to live life from day to day during the 18th Century using and making various tools, clothes, and methods to that period. From time to time I take photos of battles and daily activities happening during the events for my achives and inspirations tobe used in my art work. Sometimes it could be one photo or parts taken from several photos to create a scene.
